Summer 2010







Summer of 2010 another fun filled time at Happy Day. June 21 st was my first day of work so happy to be back. Couldn't wait to see all the kids seeing who was returning and who was new. Every week was a different week filled with its own excitement. This summer has seen a lot of new kids even towards the end new children were coming in. Swimmer
With the help of Ms. Pam of course Joni, Annie and I are starting to take over waterballet. Knowing this has to be hard on Ms. Pam since this is her baby yet she has taught us what we know. You see we were all in waterballet when we were younger so now that we are older and Ms. Pam wanted to retire she handed the reins over to the three of us. Lifeguard
Waterballet this summer actually filled with joy, excitement, fear, and all other sort of emotions one can go through.. Our older girls Brianna and Raelene they are always fun to work with yet this summer we gave them harder tricks which they have pulled off like I knew they would. When we all return for 2011 I already have new tricks for them to play with.
My favorite part of being a Happy Day Camper are the overnights they are the best and filled with tons of fun. Its even fun trying to get the younger kids to go to sleep they go to sleep on their own. They will try to stay up as long as they can they want to be like the older kids where they can stay up all night long. A great summer one I enjoyed and look forward to next summer. Diving

Pick of Books for the Next Few Months

Had my book club meeting last night, we chose our books that we will be reading for the next few months. The list of books that people put up on the list sound very interesting, really interesting. If those books are not picked I really have to read them on my own, because some of them did sound really interesting to read. Julianne Balmain (Nadia Gordon)

Julianne Balmain is an author of numerous books; mystery, sex, and children's books. Having just been introduced to her by the book club I am in, the book which we had read was SHARPSHOOTER (NAPA VALLEY SERIES) by author Nadia Gordon, same author just using a different name. After reading this book, I wanted to read more or her works. With such a good book for my first murder mystery, wanted to find out more about her and what books she has published. She is very versatile in her field-mystery book, sex books, children's books, and she is also a copywriter working with APPLE, KODAK, AVON, and others.  She is a California girl, her mystery novels show that and look forward to reading her books all of  them. After each read I will post my review of what I had just read, which, then hope to hear from others who have also read her books and hear what they think of her books.

Happy Day School

Have you ever been to a school as a child and still remember the good times you had as a child? Well for me I do and they were good times to. This school in Monterey Park, California is one special school in my heart my second family for me. This is where I went to school when younger and til this day still there as an instructor for swimming lessons and water ballet. Once you come and start you never leave your treated from the start like family. I should know because this is where I started my school years basically in preschool and came for summer camp which have to say is the best part and still have so many fond memories of my friends and fun activites and the field trips we would go on. But now heck I wish I was still a kid each summer is a different theme with different field trips to match thoes themes.
